Eating kiwis during pregnancy
Eating kiwi fruit during pregnancy is good for both mother and baby!
Pregnancy, as we know, is a crucial and much-awaited time for many women. Adopting the right behaviour, especially during the first trimester, is really important, both for the health of the mother-to-be and for her baby. A correct diet, rich in fruit and vegetables, plays a fundamental role in the introduction of quantities of vitamins, nutrients and beneficial substances: among these, folic acid, which is indispensable for the supply of oxygen to the cells and for the growth of the foetus. During pregnancy, the mother-to-be needs up to 50% more folic acid, and can supplement it by consuming foods such as artichokes, turnips, cereals, pulses, eggs and kiwifruit. The latter, in addition to being rich in folate, help combat constipation, a very common condition in pregnant women; kiwis also contain high amounts of potassium, a substance that helps combat depression, exhaustion and digestive disorders, and serotonin, which helps with sleep and stress reduction. But the kiwi's properties don't end there! This magical fruit is rich in antioxidants, the best allies in the fight against free radicals and ageing, which is why, in addition to daily consumption, we recommend numerous Beauty treatments for body, face and hair, strictly kiwi-based. Last but not least, vitamin C, essential for strengthening the immune system and preventing numerous disorders: did you know that kiwifruit contain a greater amount than oranges and lemons? Kiwis are a delicious powerhouse of vitamins, a real boon for the health of pregnant women... and not only!
